Year 2 visit King Richard III
Year 2 visited Leicester Cathedral and King Richard III Visitor Centre
On Wednesday 20th November, Year 2 visited Leicester Cathedral and King Richard III Visitor Centre as part of their History work. They learnt a lot about Richard III’s life, including how he died in the Battle of Bosworth and what happened to him afterwards. They were fascinated to learn about how he was found buried in a car park and were amazed to see his burial site. They also visited his tomb in the cathedral and enjoyed looking for parts of his life story in the stained glass windows which were made to celebrate his life.
