Hello I am Mrs Hall. I am the EYFS teacher at New Swannington and I am very excited to meet you all!

In EYFS learn through play, fun and exploration. Our learning environment is organised to reflect this, where children can get hands on in their play, choosing their own equipment and toys to promote development, independence and concentration.

Our engaging, exciting and stimulating curriculum builds on the children’s experiences, interests and questions and is arranged into both: 

• Child-initiated play where the children explore the classroom and outdoor environment and the adults are active participants, supporting and challenging them as they play; and 
• Focussed learning with adults guiding the learning through practical, innovative and engaging activities. 

Working alongside myself in EYFS is Mrs Sparrow and Mrs Keenan. Together we make a fantastic team with a range of experience and skills to support you on your learning journey in EYFS.
We have P.E on Tuesday and children can come into school in their P.E. kits. We also enjoy making use of the school’s wonderful Forest School area whenever we can. We provide waterproof suits for wet days, but it is useful for children to keep a pair of wellington boots in school.

Please make sure that your child brings their reading book to school in their book bag every day. We change our reading books and library books on Friday.
